Terms of Service

Published: Updated:

These terms explain the nature of ChatQuip's service, what we expect from contractors, and what you can expect from us. By applying and accepting an offer, you agree to the terms below.

Nature of the service

ChatQuip is a talent agency. We connect independent contractors — chat operators and translators — with partner platforms that need their skills. ChatQuip is not your employer: we facilitate the match, handle payouts, and provide support, but the working relationship for each assignment is governed by an offer agreement, not an employment contract.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to apply and work with ChatQuip. All information you provide during the application and hiring process — your identity, contact details, and English level — must be truthful. Misrepresenting yourself is grounds for termination of the offer agreement.

Contractor relationship

Each assignment is governed by a written offer agreement setting out the terms of that specific work. You are an independent contractor, not a ChatQuip employee — there is no employment contract, no fixed salary, and no benefits package. Taxes on your earnings are your own responsibility, to be handled under the rules of the country you reside in; ChatQuip does not withhold tax on your behalf.

No fees, ever

We never charge candidates or operators any fees — not for applying, not for training, not for equipment, not for "activation." If anyone contacts you claiming to represent ChatQuip and asks you to pay money, it is fraud, regardless of how convincing the request looks. Report it immediately to hello@chatquip.com so we can warn others and pursue the impersonator.

Payouts

Payouts are made weekly, according to the terms of your specific offer agreement. Available methods and minimum thresholds are described on the salary page and confirmed in your agreement. Delays caused by incorrect payout details you provide are not ChatQuip's responsibility, but we will help you correct them as soon as we are notified.

Conduct and content

While working, you must follow the rules of the specific partner platform you are assigned to, in addition to these terms. Correspondence you handle in the course of work is confidential — you may not save, share, screenshot, or publish it outside of your work duties, except where required for a legitimate support request to ChatQuip.

No income guarantees

Published income ranges reflect real, historical figures across our contractor base, but they are not a guarantee. Your actual earnings depend on the hours you put in, your grade, and the quality and consistency of your work. ChatQuip is not liable for any gap between the published ranges and what a specific contractor earns.

Termination

Either side may end the working relationship under the terms set out in the relevant offer agreement, without a fixed notice period unless the agreement says otherwise. You keep everything you have already earned, subject to the standard payout minimum described in your agreement.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time as our operations evolve. Changes will be reflected in the "Updated" date at the top of this page, and material changes affecting active contractors will be communicated directly.
